Here at Utopiat, we hope to use any and all #creative platforms to inspire a shift in our collective experience towards love. We aim to curate rare, under-discovered tracks that are almost always #underground, counter popular culture and written from a place of #love and truth.
There are times in life, that may seem empty, confusing and random.
Times when we feel there is something more to existence that we have been taught by schooling, family and society.
Sometimes, we can catch fleeting glimpses of “a greater purpose” of some sort, both externally, as well as within.
In 1992, The Orb released their second album, “U.F.Orb”.
Filled with deep, surreal, yet somehow nostalgic energy, the album takes the listener through the worlds of ambient house and dub.
Permeating throughout the entire composition is an ethereal feeling, a sense of detachment from the mind-identified self.
The first song, “O.O.B.E.” (or “Out Of Body Experience”) initiates the listener with warm textures and sonic movements.
After being welcomed to this blissful state, a dubbed-out voice reaches out of the stillness, exposing the listener to deeper beliefs, in terms of consciousness and existence.
The voice speaks:
“Man's achievement is to have created a world of the mind, of the intellect and imagination, which is as real in its way as any actual country on the map.
Sir Karl Popper, in one of his most important papers, calls it "the third world," or World Three.
The first world is the objective world of things.
The second world is my inner subjective world.
But, says Popper, there is a third world, the world of objective contents of thoughts.
Teilhard de Chardin called this "third world" the noösphere, that is the world of mind…”
These words hold true the notion that our lives are not limited to the known physical realm.
Not only are our worlds of imagination and creative thinking quite real, they wait to become recognized, acknowledged and actualized into physical existence by you.
Each of us has the capacity within to create and live our dreams...
