There are so many things we love about this other, infinitely more beautiful way of “made in china.” as an ancient culture with such rich traditions fueled by some of the most beautiful creations and breathtaking innovations known to mankind, we are on a mission to discover how we can honor and preserve these long lost traditions buried beneath the soul-less industrial movement.

This is yet another reason why we adore the core group of comrades we have manifested into our mission. those makers who tirelessly explore the possibilities of blending tested traditions with modern adaptation to create things of unique beauty and texture rarely seen in today’s fast fashion reality.

This gorgeous weaving machine is hand-built from scratch by our dye partner, Mr. Xiong, who has won awards for his innovation in creating ingenious machinery specifically designed for traditional chinese textile production. this wooden machine is a modern replicate of the ones used by textile weavers some hundreds of years ago.

Mr. Xiong and his team hand-weave amazing cloths that require extra thick and sturdy yarns. we can’t wait to design special products that will be made from cloth weaved with artisanal craftsmanship worthy of this beautiful machine.
